Had a lovely storm last night, there was so much rain we had water pooling under the floor of the tent. You could step on one side of it and watch the wave cross the room underneath the floor. Another inch of water and it would have been seeping in through the door. Everything held up okay tho!

We were walking Badger on the beach the other day and a little dog-food sized dog ran up and went straight for his throat! So he has his first big boy collar now

It’s been pretty hot the last few days, so we haven’t been doing a lot more than just lying around reading, watching movies on the laptop and going for swims.

We’re in Hervey Bay! Also, check out my sweetass new camping chair:

Super comfy.

So we drove from Gayndah to here today, took about 2 and a half hours. We’re staying at The Palms caravan park, it’s really nice. Got an awesome shady spot for the camper:

It’s so nice to be able to sit inside the camper during the day and not die from overheating. We’re staying here for 3 nights, maybe more if we feel like it.

Overheating in Gayndah

The heat here the past couple of days has been pretty nuts. Today we went to the river to try and escape the worst of it.

Badger & I. He’s a wuss and won’t go in further than where he can touch the bottom, so instead, if you’re sitting close enough to the shore, he either climbs onto your lap, or puts his front paws up on your back and scratches the hell out of you.

Got to Gayndah today, where we’re staying at my brother’s place for a week or so. I drove with the trailer on for the first time – not as scary as I’d expected.

Probably the best thing about rainy weather? Badger wearing his waterproof dog coat. It’s a hand-me-down from a friend.
